Jamie is a well known TV host, actor, singer and musician in Southeast Asia.

He is perhaps best known as a member of the wildly popular pioneering core team of MTV ASIA VJ’s in the 1990s. The comedic skit driven show MTVLAND which each week saw him appear as a plethora of zany characters drew a massive loyal following of fans throughout South East Asia (Indonesia,Philllipines,Malaysia,Singapore,Thailand) turning him into an iconic household name for the 90’s generation. He won “Best Entertainment Presenter” at the Asia Television Awards two years in a row (1996, 1997) as well as “Best Show” for the show he hosted – “MTV Screen” in 1998. 

In 2007 Jamie was a judge on “Indonesian Idol”, and in 2012 released his critically acclaimed album of Soul/Pop “LMNOP.” Which subsequently made the #2 spot on Rolling Stone magazine “Indonesia’s 10 best albums of the year” list. In 2015 Jamie collaborated with US based Saxophonist Kelland Thomas recording an album of “Trad” Jazz in Tuscon Arizona entitled “Trad&Soul” which reached the #30 spot on Billboards U.S. “Top 100 List” in it’s Jazz category.

He performs Jazz and Soul/Blues regularly at large-scale music events such as “Java Jazz”, “Soul Nation”, “Reform Fest” and “Joyland Fest”. Most recently in 2020 Jamie performed a repertoire of Jazz songs together with the Los Angeles based Ron King Big Band at the annual International JavaJazz festival to critical acclaim.

Jamie has hosted six shows for MTV and three Travel shows for Discovery Asia, including “Sync or Swim,” “Passageway to Malaysia,” and “After 12.” The latter also aired on Channel News Asia. Jamie has also starred in commercials for clients like Coca-Cola, McDonalds, Sanyo, LG, Canon Printers, Telkomsel as well as starred in a few Indonesian films. In 2019 Jamie won “Best Supporting Actor” at the Asian Academy Creative Awards for his role as crazed assasin “Kurt” in HBO Asia’s 2018 mini-series “Grisse”. Jamie also lent his comedic `Voice acting skills to the award winning childrens animation series '‘Kitty Is Not A Cat” voicing multiple characters. The series won “Best Animated Series Production Of The Year” at the prestigious 18th “Annual Screen Producers Australia” awards.

He now resides in Melbourne Australia with his wife and two sons where he performs regularly with some of Australia’s finest Jazz Musicians at Melbourne’s “The Paris Cat” Jazz&Blues Club. He is currently working on material for a new album.
